Established in 1980, Fleet 42 is the only open-class multihull sailing club in Arizona and the Soutwestern states region. We are open to all makes and size catamarans. We also have a Laser Fleet and welcome any other small monohull sailboat.

With other sailing clubs in Arizona, we sponsor sailing activities year around for those with and without boats. We offer the opportunity to learn to sail and/or race. There are organized Family Fun Sailing Weekends during the spring, summer, and fall at local lakes. These cruising weekends are designed to introduce individuals without boats to catamaran sailing and to instruct those new to their boats on equipment, rigging, safety, and the basics of sailing.

Other events include co-sponsoring Come Sail Away Day For Youth at Lake Pleasant with the local Hobie Fleet. We also hold three racing regattas in Mexico: Two Cholla Challenge weekends in Cholla Bay (every April and October for the past 21 years) which includes a long distance race on Saturday and triangle racing on Sunday. The weekend is sponsored by JJ's Cantina. The third event is our State Championships at Playa Bonita held in conjunction with the Hobie State Championships
